Default Are these progressive softail shocks adjustable?

I had these Progressive shocks installed around 1995. I don't remember if they are adjustable and don't have any docs/adjustment instructions for them.

From the looks of the pic, are these adjustable? Do I just looses the bolt and rotate the shock? I thought I read in another post somewhere that is how some of the shocks are adjusted. If I adjust them, am I just adjusting the lowering/raising of the bike, the stiffness/softness of the ride, or both?

I remember when they were installed it lowered the bike by about an inch or so.

ok, I found my old receipt so I have my own question answered. I got these on 1/28/1993 with 22k on the bike. They were listed as WB4034G which is the 413 series of progressive shocks. For some reason 4034G means that they are non-adjustable, lower by 1", and gold colored. I paid $395 + an hour labor.

It looks like an eye-kit was available, not sure what that would do for me, part number 30-5047c/g.

I don't think Progressives are rebuildable and they don't make shocks for softails from 84-88 anymore so I am considering Works shocks. anybody have any opinions on Works or any other softail 84-88 shocks?

Just thought I would chip in here, so you don't feel as if you are talking to yourself! If your shocks are that old they may be past their best by now. I have to admit I am mystified by softtails and their shocks, but hopefully there are some adjustable ones out there. I have custom-built Ohlins on my Glide, from HDF sponsor Motorcycle Metal, so if you are in the market for truly top class shocks you could give Howard a call, to see what he can do for you.
