Mine is a 93 FXLR, so not sure about the fitment on your earlier model. I have Drag Specialties flamed Predator that I use for short trips and running around town. Looks good on the bike, is one piece and matches the flames on my tank.
For longer trips I swap over to a two piece Mustang model #75321. Super comfortable and a very high quality piece. Nice part is I can swap them out in less than 15 minutes. Try Mustangs online catalog and see if they have a fitment for your year. If not try calling them and speak to Rae a sales rep there. They still may have a pan or mold in stock and can build you one. It's worth a try.
I will try calling~ Apparently an '85 FXSB is old enough/unusual enough to not be in high demand. Thanks for the lead!
I just looked at Mustang's website..... No products at all for 4-speed frame Harleys. Unbelievable. You'd think the older the bike, the more parts like seats would need replacing. Harley doesn't give a $#!+, but you'd think the aftermarket would.

Our lady member (seems rude to call her 'woman'!) has several suggestions to go on. As far as Mustang are concerned Buddy made an excellent suggestion, to try a little feminine charm over the phone!
to add another log to the fire....
we are happy with our custom made Hitchhiker + from BAR Enterprises, www.harleyseats.com
built for our weight and leg length and riding style.
Also, another good one was the Harley Sundowner, but it looks like the big seat that it is.

yes, their homepage has that picture, but if you scroll down and click ENTER....
or click on that picture, same thing.
I don't know if they can make one for her year of bike, but they sure did well for us. My wife is extremely happy on the back now, and I'm comfy up front.
+1 on the Mean City redo. I tell all my customers that complain about their seats to send it to them. The ones that do, never look back. They are probably the best bang for your buck out there. They are sponsors here to boot. Give them a call and tell them i sent you. Hope this helps.
See if the seat I have posted will work. If nothing else a second seat will allow you to ship one for modification and no be with our a seat waiting for the one to be finished.
See if the seat I have posted in Evo parts section will work. It is a Mustang seat that has had padding added. If nothing else a second seat will allow you to ship one for modification and not be with our a seat waiting for the one to be finished.
