Turn the ignition to on.......then off......then on.....then off......then on
The engine light will flash quickly.......for its own system check.
Then it will throw out the codes......for example, (beep, pause, beep) means 11. If I remember correctly, 11 means there are no codes set. Search around on the internet and you'll be able to know what the codes represent.
Reading this thread makes me appreciate the fact that Bertha has just a simple CV carb, and no electronics other than the ignition module... my simple mind can deal with that!

It sure is! But my problem is that I have to be more and more selective about learning new things, because I don't have that many unused brain cells left to store them. I wish I could forget a lot of the useless CRAP that is just sitting around in there, taking up valuable storage space!
