If I look at the top of cylinder inside it says HD. I have the pics of when the guy before me bought it and the engine looks like it does now and air cleaner cover rubbing on gas tank even then. I have the original owners Ph number, I should call and see what he might have done to it.

Let us know what you find out. Perhaps one of these weekends we could ride south and you could come north and meet around Hunter mountain, then I could get a first hand look at it??

I'll call soon, and let you know what I found out. That sounds like a nice plan, have to map out the back roads that way.

Thanks, Joe

I spoke with the guy who owned my bike 2 owners ago. He replaced the tranny case, it was cracked. When he had it the rear rocker was tight to the frame also. He got it from a guy who had it on a bike lift and never got a chance to finish working on it. That guy replaced the swing arm. So it has a new tranny case, new swing arm, new rear wheel , new belt, new tank and fenders, but no clue as to why the rear rocker is so tight to frame. This bike has been around the block, but it still looks new. Need to find someone who really knows this year and model Harley.

Joe,

I suggest you take up the offer of John of Mia Cycles. Soon! Two heads are better than one. Might be something serious, or something really easy to fix.
