Default excess vibration

I have thought my 90 springer had a bit too much engine vibration. While looking around trying to figure out why i found a cracked weld on the frame right behind the rear head. Isnt that post also the rear engine mount? By the looks of it the only way to properly get this fixed i will have to pull the motor am i right?

It would probably be easier to weld it properly with the engine removed.

Removing the engine would not only make it easier to weld but it would also be easier to paint the weld (which keeps it from rusting).

That is why i figured i would have to pull the motor. Am i right that that is the rear mount for the motor?

I'm wondering if the crack and vibration might have allowed the frame to become tweeked a little, out of alignment, for lack of a better term.

The crack is not all the way through the weld only on the front side where the post connects behind the rear head and in front of the battery.
