I ran into a old friend of mine. He sold his FLHS to buy a house a few years ago. Every time I see him he carries on about he never should have sold it. So while I am there he gives my 2 quarts of the old HD primary fluid and a quart of HD tranny fluid. Its been sitting in his garage for probably 4 years. The garage is attached to theee house but not heated. We are in NE Ohio and it get cold during the winter months. Think its all right to use?
Sure. I used a bunch of the stuff for 10 years after a friend sold his bikes and gave it to me. I finally ran out of primary fluid last year and switched to Mobil 1 ATF after not liking the new HD stuff.
Thanks guys. I know what you mean about the primary fluid. He said my eyes got big when I saw the 2 qts lol.
Some people say you should not use motor oil thats been outside over the winter.
I had bought a case a while back. I didn't know they discontinued it. I was down to my last Qt and a half. The price on the bottles he gave my was 3.75.
