Once you go Harley you never go back. Been the best riding experience of my 30 + years of riding bikes. Enjoy and welcome brother!

Oil and filters brings up religious fever. However, I'll tell you what I've been running Toyota 22R oil filters on my bike for the last 80K miles, outside of maybe 2 or 3 OEM filters. I currently use only Genuine Toyota oil filters, bought from the Toyota dealer. They come pre-greased with a seal over the mouth, are black and cost <$5. Just tell the parts guy at the dealer "1986 4 cylinder Truck."

And sounds like you have a good bike.

Chrome won't get you home. But a black Toyota oil filter will.

ZOMG, I just realized the manual says to use a Harley one!!!

Some friends of mine said everyone that is into motorcycles as much as I am should own at least one Harley in their lifetime. I think I chose a good one.
