For whatever reason, I've always heard complaints about the Springer from taller riders. Maybe that's why they don't have as broad appeal as other Softails.
Well.........you ain't gonna believe this.....This thing sold for $10,250!!! I was out the running when the biddinbg started at $5000. Come to find out, after talking to a guy there at the auction who knew the owner and the bike.....this thing had a few "issues". More than just the cosmetic stuff I was looking at. Seems that there were some internal things that will more than likely haunt the new owner. Anyway, I sure appreciate all the feedback you guys provided.
With all these "reality" programs about picking things up at auctions ect. Has driven up some prices on stuff that would otherwise be junk. Then you get the bidder that wont be out bid and things really get crazy.

I have a buddy that is probably 6'3" or "4 and has had at least 3 springers.Had an evo Heritage some years back,a 2003 anniversary Heritage that he sold to another good friend of mine and now owns a 2009 or 2010 Heritage springer and i don't think he'd ride anything but a springer....never heard one bad word about height issues or any issues for that matter.
As for the "Evo" side of it,I think you'll find that most of us here are prettty loyal to this motor!
The Heritage Springers are still maintaining what seems to be a little better value over other bikes.. I know all the accessories are. However.... Keep looking around, the deals are out there.
I just picked up my 97 Red/white from a dealer for $8000...
i recently saw a mid 90's on craigslist NY for around 8000. unfortunately, i don't have the money right now or i would have picked it up. i love the look of the springers.
