Very sharp bike indeed.....looks alot like the '92 Tour Glide I had. They were pretty good touring bikes and still are.

Ultra Classic Tour Glide.....that's something you don't see every day!!

Looks pretty much stock with Supertrapp slip-on's and maybe a chrome cover here and there. That's amazing!

Beautiful looking Tour Glide. Very happy with my '86.

I wouldn't crack her open right away. Go a few miles and check out what she does as is.

If you don't mind what are you giving for her?

Personally I find the shark nose butt ugly but my buddies that have them all swear by the great handling and ease of traveling the long long trips because of the fixed fairing. The bike looks very well taken care of and I bet alot of long hauls were done hense the milage. I don't think you ever mentioned his asking price.

Tour Glides do not get referred to as "the shark nose", that term is reserved for the Road Glide which truly is butt ugly.

The Harley fairings with the headlights built in and frame mounted are all considered to be a "Sharknose Fairing".

Maybe they weren't called that at first but the design is almost the same in my '86 as the 2011. Some of the differences include the newer bikes have a higher mounting location that appears to also set the fairing out further away from the operator which means it takes a longer reach to get to the radio on the new bikes. Also the new fairings have a stupid reverse flip covers for the glove boxes that don't lock unlike older ones that have the doors that open so the driver can see into them and they lock.

I'm not a fan at all of the Batwing being attached to the handle bars instead of solid to the frame. However they made a few changes to it in 2011 that I really like. One is the mirrors are now mounted in the fairing instead of on the bars on some models.

75,000 over 16+ years is only 7000 per year. If he maintained that bike with twice yearly oilchanges it could easily go another 75K without much trouble. Like many others I think the TG's are butt ugly but the guys I know that ride them love 'em.

If I were in the market for a dedicated long range tourer it's probably the way I'd go. Then I'd get the darkest face shield I could find so my friends wouldn't know it was me... ;-)
