Try a night jump with a 90MM recoiless rifle. When it hits the ground it acts like an anchor and you slam in very shortly after!!!!LOL Still i wouldn't have changed anything, Paratroopers are a crazy bunch of great guys. Did you know this forum has a paratrooper section???

I'm do'n my base gaskets soon,hope my pistons look as good as yours, Will you hone your jugs or leave them as is?............http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PTYkRl0b2Ik

Don't skimp on your rebuild by not honing cylinders. You'll wind up with a condition called "won't crank because of low compression".

I totally agree about honing them while you have them off. Its not that much more. I'd go ahead and ring it while your there, but have a shop do it for you. They've got the tq plates to make sure its symetrical when you put it back together.

Ya, you betcha, new rings & a hone. I'm going to lap the valves if all looks good with them & the seats & while it's apart, I'm going to make a soda blaster & polish up the aluminum.
I will check out the jump section, I didn't know there was one here! thanks.

Im not chompin' at the bit yet cause it's snowin' & I'm havin' fun but when the tires touch the ground & she passes the test fire, Im gona start goin' nuts!!!

I usually follow most of the EVO threads on here and thought I'd toss this to ya in case ya might be interested....One of my buddys closed his MC shop awile back.He's got a new set of S&S heads for sale.
But bck to your problem,what gaskets are you going to use?

Not sure yet on gaskets. Im not puttin' in junk to save a few bucks but I haven't looked around yet. As for heads, I don't need them as much as I need 8 barrel studs & an EV-27 cam if he has them at a good price!?

bored mine .10,000 used cometics est metal gaskets i think i like them.first ride 12/23/2010 sounded and ran strong.
