Default Idle mixture

I installed a new stock carb from the Harley dealer on my 95 Ultra. I have never checked the idle mixture screw. Does anyone know how many turns out it should be. I'm just guessing here, but with all the enviromental whacko stuff, I figure it's probably set up to run lean.

Also, the idle mixture screw controls the idle circuit only. The needle is the part that concerns most of us, exchange it with the '88 sportster 1200 needle and you should be golden. You may need to run a larger pilot jet but you won't know until you swap the needle and run the bike.

Joe Minton has detailed this CV tuning procedure on the web and he also has an article in the current issue of American Iron.
