Default Evo Primary

I have tried to research the part # that might replace the primary on my 1997 FLHT EG Standard. LOL my brain is bumfuzzled looking in trying to ck this out. A local fella say he has one that should work, he` wanting to sell it to me. It`s from a 01 FLH. On the out side the only differance I can see is His is chrome, mine is not, his has 5 holes where mine has 3 on the cluth cover. The inspection cover for the chain tensioner appeares to be the same. LOL Ebay just added to the confussion for me. A bit of a newbie question but I am a newbie Appreicate your time Thanks WP

I have a 2000 and I doubt that the primary cover works on anything but a 99 to 01

I`m sure there can be some differances. Hoping to nail them down. Finding an ol EVO primary that is chrome and still in good shape and a price I can afford. well not seeing many. This is what mine looks like

The difference is the location of the rear bolt hole for the transmission. It was moved. You will need the correct Inner Primary. I made the mistake of trying the '01 when I worked on my 1998. It would not fit, no mater how I tried. I ended up selling it on eBay and found the correct one there too.
