Reasonable Batteries
Just a heads up on what I believe to be a good battery for the money. I have an Adventure Power battery in my 99 Softail Custom, that is going on 5 years old with out any problems. I just checked on Amazon, and the number for my bike is UBVT-1. It is a sealed battery with 310CCA at 18Amps. They have them for $68.73. Your might want to give them a try if you are going to be needing one.
Yeah; That's what I thought. I do not use a battery tender either, and it sets sometimes for 5 or 6 weeks in the winter time with out running. Never fails to start. It was in the bike when I bought it 3 years ago, and the owner told me it was at least 2 years old. He said he had been using them in all his bikes for several years, and they all lasted really well. He had 5 Harleys at the time. They do kind of cook setting in the oil tank.
The UBVT-1 is 6.96" long---3.49" wide--and 6.13" high. Don't know if that would be to high for you or not. If you google Adventure Power batteries, I am sure you will find something that will work for you. Then go to Amazon to buy it, as they always seem to have a good deal.
Yesterday I installed new Yuasa batteties in my 2000 Deuce and in my wife's 1998 Dyna. Bought them via The Big River. No shipping since purchase over $100. Three day delivery. Easy set up. Used battery tenders to charge. Sealed. Okay thus far on 150 mile ride today. Previous batteries from HD which lasted five years. I believe HD are Yuasa.
