I just put a jet kit on my cv carb (95 softail)... BUt I mess with the idlw srew.. The screw head is stripped. Can I bought this screw, drill the old one to put the new one or which way I can change it.
not sure which screw you are talking about, mon ami Evo.
But put away the BIG tools for a while, until you get a correct answer.
No drills, no hammers, no sharp tools.
Help is on the way. (I asked some friends for answers)
Drill a tiny hole in the head where the screwdriver slot used to be, get a small square section steel rod that has a tapered end, looks like a spear or a file handle. Tap it into the idle screw and turn it slowly out.
If the idle screw is seized in then you may need some heat.
As far as getting it out, my favorite method on stuff like this is using a left handed drill bit. A lot of times the drill bit will back out the screw all by itself and you won't even need to try to grab the screw with something else after drilling a pilot hole.
