well thats debatable, I think you were in the right place and resurrecting an old thread aint the worst thing to ever happen. Based upon the photo you provided over in the touron forum someone has pulled the cruise module.
Pop the seat off and look for the module connector shown in the service manual floating around. If its something you want to have and can deal with the peanut gallery telling you to get a throttle lock instead, its an easy install on that bike with eBay parts.
the plug for which you are looking, looks like this
Hi, my name is Tucker and new to this so apologize for breaking any rules.
I have a 2006 Screamin Eagle 103 Electra Glide and my cruise control is deciding to act up I have gone through the test in book and all is turning green and off but when I did the code search it popped up with 242 high rate of engine rpm change (e.g., hit ice or slipping tire)
Now I have checked threads and havent seen anyone answer this but how does this get fixed or is this something I just need to reset and if so how?
Again I apologize if I broke any rules I just need help I enjoy my bike but charging $98 bucks to look at it an hour in my opinion is crazy and to expensive. I dont mind doing the work and learning......
We have no rules here, only suggestions for getting the info you need, and how to make sure we have the proper info so we can help.
Welcome to EVOland.
I have a very low mileage 2007 ultra-classic. Looked for codes, found none. Someone suggested pulling the two wires off the roll-back switch just ahead of the fuel tank. That fixed it. Cruise hasn't worked since the bike had about 4000 miles on it.
