Default Quick release tour pak

I'd like to convert my tour pak to a quick release version if possible. I've heard of it being done, but haven't seen one actually installed. It's for a '95 Ultra. Can anyone give me some advice on what hardware to buy? Thanks.

Just ordered the parts for mine from Chicago Harley, these are the parts I ordered
1 x 53376-97 (53376-97) = $18.00
1 x 53276-04 (53276-04) = $161.96
1 x 53804-06 (53804-06) = $53.96
1 x 53422-97 (53422-97) = $71.99
and here's where I got the help

Thanks Lynn. I just removed the four bolts holding mine on, just to see what all is involved. The only problem area I see is with the speaker and tail/brake light wires. Looks to me like you would have to cut the wires and put snap in connectors on them for easy on/off of the tour pak.

When I bought my 96 it already had the quick release installed. You will LOVE IT!!!!! The lights do have a quick release connector. The only bad thing is I don't have a way to keep my radio antenna hooked up, probable going to have to buy a second antenna and rig something up. Oh, I'm 99% sure that I have the Harley hardware.

They make a bracket and cable to mount the antenna on the QR bracket, for when the tourpack is off,

Chuck I was thinking about what you had said in our other thread about the rear fender licence plate bar 53422-97 needing extensive modifications, obviously you have a birds eye veiw of the part seeing as you now have it in hand where as it'll be a few weeks before mine gets here but with the bar ends being the newer type flattened D type shape, wouldn't it slip into the round hole of the frame easily and then simple drill 2 holes through the round frame part lined up with the part double holes? Sorry for the errrr run on paragraph, I barely passed grammar.

When I check the part numbers listed above, it stated they fit '97-'08. Is there something on them that has to be modified to fit older bikes like mine?? '95 FLH.

It used to be a kit, but it looks like now it comes with the detach rack.

It looks like its the same OD as our frame tubes. I havent got into it yet, but it looks like I need to cut the fender mounting tabs off it since ours are already welded to the frame horns. Then it might fit, but I think the the "D" crimp is gunna have to be cut off and a pipe slid inside both the frame and hoop and then drilled and bolted.
