Default Seat Suggestions

I recently swapped out the stock 2 up studded seat on my 94 Heritage and replaced it with a Solo w/pad from a Deluxe. Stock HD seat. Like the look but not the fit.
I went out this weekend for about 60 miles. After 15 minutes my butt was getting uncomfortable. After another 15 damn painful.
Anyone else make this swap and experience the same. I am 6' and 200lbs. Not huge but not small either.
I would like to keep the style but I am in need of some comfort.
What do you all think?

I recently ran across a guy that re foamed seats with a tempur pedic foam. I didn't take it for a ride but it was the most comfortable seat I have ever sat on. I will probably try it after I get a new seat. (one with a back rest)

In my opinion, non of the stock seats are very comfortable so swapping to a stock seat from a different bike still isn't going to be comfortable. The aftermarket mustang style seats are the most comfortable for me. I have a LePera Mustang and it is the most comfortable bike seat I've ever sat on.

We reccomend Mean City Cycles. All of our bikes have seats that were modified by them. Give them a call, they are a site sponsor here.

I made an appointment with Mean City. Sounds like what I was looking for.
Thanks for the tip.

The one stock seat that works for me is the Softail Custom seat from 86 to 99. I can ride for hours with no problem, and I am 70 years old. Not the best for the wife though. How is the Heritage stock seat? I have thought about that one for passenger comfort.

The stock Heritage seat isn't bad, but there's better out there. I never sat on the rear of either, but my gf states that the LePera Mustang I have is really comfortable.

Just got my seat back from Mean City. I had them lower and push back my position and add memory foam. Seat is from a Deluxe I mounted on my Heritage.
Seems they did a fine job. I put about 2.5 hrs on it the other day and I see a good deal of difference.
Service was excellent. Went off like clockwork.

Thanks for the tip. I too would recommend them to anyone.
