Hello all. Just joined up this forum, first post, be kind.
I have a 94 flt w hack, that I want to convert to an Flh, cuz imo, the flt fairing is *** ugly. I am presuming, somewhat naively, that the fairing compatibility of later model years(2000-2007?) should be good. If anyone might have some advice, or warnings which parts would definetly be the kiss of death, I would appreciate any help.
Regards, Kevin.
the flht parts should bolt rite on if you can find everything..there are a lot of pieces to swap and wiring might have to be custom..if you decide to do it..post some pictures,in sure we all would like to see the project
I converted my fltc over to an flhs. easy conversion. the headlight wiring has to be change for a single headlight and you have to wire up your spots on the lightbar. that was it i do believe. everything else bolted right up. finding the parts may be a different story. I think you can still by a conversion kit out of one of these parts catolog. they are pricey though. if changing to a batwing faring, well that is a different story. let us know how it goes.
Yeah, its going to be a bit of a challenge no doubt. But i got a mig, tig, oxy torche's and BFH's (big f****** hammer's). Its been done b4 too, but definetly not for the weak of heart, or the mechanically uninclined.
