Older Electraglide Pricing
The parts alone are worth double that. As I found out recently (my buddy has one), the 86 has quite a few very unique parts that span only a few years. Parts no one makes and are very hard to find. Yes, you could buy it and just ride it till it broke, then part it out..... or you could just start pulling it apart and put all the rare parts on ebay, stash the cash and start hunting for a newer bike with the profits over winter. Most likely, that's what I would do. I would never buy a bike with that many miles that I intended to ride on a daily basis. Maybe to tear down and restore as a labor of love, but not as rider. JMHO

He is a friend of mine so I may approach him w/ a proposition that would involve no money out of pocket and we would both win. I think he would prefer to see it sold whole as opposed to raped and pillaged.
If the part out route is the way this ends up going I will surely try and honor these requests first (if the wanted parts are in working order of course).
