What I have done to my 94 Ultra is to change the mufflers to Harley after market muffler and remove the packing. This gave me a little more in the mid range.

The next thing I'm going to do is change the air filter and cleaner. I'll let you know the out come.

Okay, here's what works on mine:

SE air cleaner kit
Andrews EV27 cam
SuperTrapp slipons 18 discs
re-worked CV carb
Dyna 2000 ignition

This combo (with a decent dyno tune) made approximately 70hp/80tq. I had some mild porting done to the heads this year and got another 5 hp outta it. Power is nice and right where you want/need it for a touring bike. If you can turn a wrench you can do all of this yourself (except for the dyno tune), for around a grand.
