Hi all. I have a 1991 Electraglide (oil filter located under the bike behind the transmission) Does anyone know if it is possible to install a oil cooler with a oil filter relocation setup. The ones I have seen are all for the bikes with the front mounted oil filter. Any help appreciated.
You can fit an oil cooler where you like and run hoses from the filter...not seen a relocation set-up for the filter though....but that don't mean they don't exist.
If you buy a cooler, you will simply need some longer hose. Follow the cooler instructions and also check your service manual to get the connections right.
Thanks for all the replys, I already have a used lockheart cooler but I'm not sure where to connect it and what lines to extend. If I can skip the relocation (filter) part and just connect it to the existing oil lines that would be great. Does anybody have a diagram or an explination of what lines I need to extend and where they are located.
Thank you again

Yes, as mentioned, nothing but hoses is needed. I also suggest a thermostat. Either get a cooler with one built in or get a separate unit like this one: https://www.denniskirk.com/_.p31384.prd/49218.sku
if you can find one. It looks like that is NLA. Maybe someone else makes one or you can find a new-old-stock item.

When I put a Lockhart cooler on the 1985 FLHTC I had, I took the starter off to get to the hoses easier. I connected the hoses close to where the oil entered the filter.
