EV27 or 46 are both good, if you wanna increase a 1340 in capacity you will have to go the Stroker Kit path and if that is imminent I would go for the 46 but the 27 is also gonna work....it just depends on whether you are obsessed with numbers (as some seem to be) or if you know your riding style and have an understanding of where you want your power to be.

I tune Harleys as a side line but on my own bike I just have a K&N, debaffled pipes and an EV27....if and when I ever take the heads off they will go to Hans Gurau for a head and valve job.....that is really it.

If I had two bikes one would be an FXR with a Stroker Kit...but it wouldn't be my daily ride.

I'm running a HQ rumble stick and at 3 grand she pulls real hard. Your going to get your biggest bang for buck with an ignition, cam and tuned carb as well as a good exhaust.

Not sure how far in the future you are doing the engin mods but the 27 will give it all the power you need for everyday riding.

EV-27 is a good cam, if your mechanically inclined a cam is easy to install. It really depends on what your planning to do engine wise, and how far down the road?

Yea, I also like the EV-27 as well.....having said that, I also rode a Road Glide with the SE-3 and couldn't tell the difference between the two cams.

You will find a lot of fans of the EV27 on here. There are no down sides to it, just get on and install it, you won't be disappointed!
