The '85 FX bikes are unique in many ways...they were one-year-only for the most part, although a few '86 FXWGs were made. I owned a 1985 FXSB (Low Rider) for nearly ten years.

They were the last year of the Duo-Glide 4 speed frame bikes that debuted in '58. They were also the first and last FX bikes to have an EVO. The Low Riders and Wide Glides were also unique in that they were the last to have both kick and electric start with the 4 speed, but they had the then-new belt drive.Kind of a transition year.

Now the '85 FXE (SuperGlide) was a little less unique. It still had chain final drive like its shovelhead relatives. It also had electric start only, no kicker. Still a cool bike worth having.

In looking at the picture the OP posted, I'd be careful. Very few original parts. Non-stock items include:

front and rear fenders
front end
headlight
front and rear wheels
seat
oil tank
tail light
forward controls (FXE had mid controls)
handlebars
air cleaner

And that's all I can see from the small thumbnail. Lotsa parts replaced for some reason.
