Helping a buddy work on a '98 EVO. Stock ignition control module, stock dual fire coil, NO VOES, and the below sensor plate. Has the bar & shield stamped in it but looks different than mine. Is it a stock item ? If not, anybody recognize it ? Thanks....
HG
Think I got it ! There are two part number that pop up: 32448-95A and the 32400-80A.
The difference is the newer model sensor has a angle position switch built into the body. This would shut the motor off if the bike tipped over.
I don't want you to feel there is nobody listening, but I must confess I can't help you. I had one pack up and replaced it, but didn't commit to memory exactly what it was. My bike was 1990 and I would be surprised if Harley used electronic ignition as early as 1980, but stranger things have happened!
Gyrene, I've been trying for a half hour to upload a pik of my '98. But my technical ability would not allow it. I just had mine apart and took pictures. I have a 32448-95A. Hope it helps ya.
Thanks, guys. Looks like it is stock and just plain missing the VOES ! Plug & mount are there, so we will get one ordered and see how it works. Can't believe it runs so well with timing defaulted to full retard !
