Wanna upgrade my sealed beams on my '87 FLTC to H4 buckets, but haven't found any convincing products out there does any one have any thoughts on this type of conversion for a 5 3/4 light?
I didn't know they still used sealed beams on the 87 FLTC. My bike has the H4 style.
Yeah, do it. You can buy the conversion set from HD. Just ask for a headlight for a 87 Sportster and they will give you the conversion bulb thing and the H4, as the original sealed beam has been superseded. About fifty each, if I recall. They just install exactly as your 5-3/4" bulbs do now, but the H4 bulb mounts in the middle.
Not off hand. That is an unusual size, if I recall. My car takes that size. There are some out there, but you have to look pretty hard to find them, and the HD ones are priced about the same. I just buy sealed beams for the car.
