Default Speedo Cable Mounting
I do not have my manual in front of me so I have a question. On a 98 softail, where on the transmission does the speedo sensor screw into? I am getting a Dakota Digital MCL-5000 speedo and their electronic speedo sensor for it and would like to know. Also, an aftermarket transmission like Ultima shoudl be in the same place and connect the same right assuming it is for that year?

Right side of the tranny, on top, under the starter. Hope this helps.
