I was doing some wiring clean-up today, since my parts didnt come in. There was some......creative wiring done by previous persons that worked on the bike. So with diagram in hand I preceeded to put the wiring back to stock for the most part. Since the repair I have lost the blinkers all together now. I havent really checked for power or anything else on it yet, but I have a question.
My question is.....does it matter how the blinker module is oriented? Can it be on it's side or does it have to be up and down? By that I mean wire connector at the front/back or at the top/bottom.
Up, down or sideways, it makes no difference....usual loss of blinkers is bad earth (ground) and some of those early tin relays only work properly if you attach an earth wire to the outside of the damn thing.
If your talking about the turn signal flasher , you can install it at any angle .?
Some starter solenoids must be attached in a vertical attitude but i think you might be confused between the two.?
if you go with the same set up as me youll have ALOT less wiring problems. my blinker is attached to my hand, its right next to my hazard signal, followed by my wedding ring
