my 90 electra glide will only go into neutral 1st and 2nd. did not make any noise or any signs of a problem, help could it be a problem with the shifting forks and shift drum.
i did and did'nt really see anything broken but i was kinda dumbfouned so i closed it back up, d will the shift fork and the shift drum get out of sync sometime
Not trying to be a smart alek, but is the bike sitting still while you are trying to get it to go through all the gears?
Check the shift linkage to be sure it is secure and not binding or loose anywhere.
Check the shift levers to be sure they are tight on the shafts and in the right position. The shift lever at the transmission is notorious for coming loose.
