Ballanced EVO??
I thought I remembered reading about a balanced motor, that was an EVO style, and had EVO mounts to fit an old EVO frame. I can't seem to find it now, and I am thinking I might have dreamed it all up!! :-)
I thought Ultima made it, but I really don't remember. Anyone know of anything like that?? I have an 80ci evo that has not been bored or anything - just a bigger cam put in, and I changed my gears to get more low end torque. It has always vibrated a lot, but ever since I changed my gears, it really shakes.I know a lot of guys don't like the way a new B motor heritage rides - but I do. :-)
I don't like to go over 80mph, but I like to get there from 0mph as fast as I possibly can - that is why I am looking at probably getting an Ultima 107, or something in that ball park.
It will be a couple years before I actually buy one, just fishing for ideas.
THANKS!
if I were shopping a motor I'd look first at S&S and a motor built by them ( rather than a motor built by someone else using s&s parts like titan cycles used to do)
if you have a softail ( motor solid mounted to frame) you will enjoy more vibes.
just make sure the motor is built and running correctly, and optomize the gearing for what you want.
me, my slightly built motor has 15% overdrive and is very pleasant on the street and highway

It takes counter balancers to do that, otherwise all Harley would have to do is balance all the TwinCam motors and throw the balancers away.
