Default Police Solo Help request

I have a 1989 FLHS that I'm thinking of changing over to a Solo Police Air ride seat on occaision. I have access to a 1991 Seat set up that is complete EXCEPT for the Air spring/bladder. So I have two questions,

1) Does anyone know (Or have a Parts list book) to verify that the parts that I can get will fit?
2) What p/n (Or P/N's) do I need for the Air spring/bladder assembly? And how much am I looking at to get one of these.

My Mustang seat is comfortable, and I have it in a local Re-upholsterer shop for a tear repair, but I came across the Solo seat parts and thought it might be fun to have that option. Can anyone help? Thanks.

If you figure out what parts you need, drop me a message. I have bought a couple police solo seats over the last few years and only used the leather seat. I mounted them on the roll around portion of an old kitchen chair set to roll around the bike on a lift. I have all kinds of stuff ranging from resevoir to seat mount. They aren't doing me any good so I would part with them pretty cheap.

You can use a Kong dog chew toy to replace the air system on the seat. See the attached link:

That dog toy fix looks to be right up my alley. The bladder on my '96 cop bike leaks out by the end of a days ride. Seems easy enough to do, just hope my two boxers don't discover it . I wouldn't want to come out one day and find my seat all torn up and them fighting over the toy.lol.,,

Doing the same thing here. Just bought a seat from a 1997 because I couldn't find one for my 1990. When I went to the dealer for some parts, I looked at the parts breakdown for the 1989 bikes and I think they were still spring ride at that time. I don't think the air ride started until around 1997. The frame section of my 1990 is shorter than it seems the 1997 is. Because of this, the kong or air ride is way forward of where it should be and I crush the kong. I am going with springs on the back of the seat.

Default (Not) Finding Info

It is tough to find the necessary info for these seats. The info is not in my Service manual and I do not have a p/n manual for my vintage bike which is the 1989 FLHS. However the "Stuff" that I have is listed for a 1991 bike so I don't know if it fits my bike and I can't get to it for a while to eye everything up. I probably need two manuals to see if the parts are the same, or similar enough to match up.

Hopefully it will mate up, and hopefully I will also luck out on getting the missing component.

I'm still trying to find info on-line, or to find someone with a proper year p/n manual.

It does not look like the dog toy "fix" will work with my bike either. RATS!!!!
