After waiting for 3 weeks for a paint shop to paint my tank (never did because they were too busy) I took it to another shop. They are putting the finishing touches on it TODAY!
Very nice. Can I be nosey and ask what you are having to pay? I'm thinking about having mine re-done after a chip mysteriously appeared during an overnight with a couple of my sons friends who were hanging out in the garage all night. Of course. "I swear none of us went within 10 feet of the bike Dad!" was the response during interrogation. They had no idea how it ended up in 3rd gear either.
Looks NICE, Scott! Bummer the first shop let it just sit for three weeks and did nothing. What a bunch of goobers!
And Bleachey... I had to laugh at your story! One thing I have always told my daughters... "Never EVER lie to me. If you do something, just 'FESS UP to it. I can forgive a lot of things... but LYING ain't on that list!"

I totally agree and have had to lessen punishments many times further than I wanted to try and emphasize the point. I'm sure the truth will come out at some point.

Sure, $240. One guy quoted $600. I only had 1 color and no dents to fix.
Got the tank on, put a gallon of petro in it, she fired right up. New baffles sounded nice.
The "equalizing" hose sprung a nasty leak and sprayed gas on my nice shiney chrome.
Had to drain the tank, wash the bike, get new hose, and take a well deserved ride.......now I have to get the friggin water spots off of her............
P.S. I'm glad you didn't pull my trick. I just had my tanks painted and in the process of putting on the left one I dropped it and put two chips in it.
Damn I felt like an idiot. Cost me another hundred to fix the chips.
