OK Not behind the light either but I did find a place under the instrument cluster that looks like where it might have been . I will take pictures and post later.
Thanks, Ron

I'm sure that when you have it in your hand you'll say to yourself: 'oh, it's one of them'!

the stock harley flasher in my 85 was rectangular shaped. i went to an auto parts store and bought a 552 automotive flasher and it is working just fine.

My '88 has a round one and a rectangle side by side by the top of the right fork. I thought the rectangle was for 4-ways?

There is a flat box wired under there (looks like a hershey bar with wires). But I don't see a round mechanical flasher. PO said they worked before, (but he said a lot of stuff that won't true too).
My 1990 manual says the simple flasher has been replaced by a " flasher modual " that in my FLT is attached to the right fork leg " looking from front " inside the fairing. See my post today re: this modual and connectors.
As your po. has gone to LEDs you might have a job ahead of you.
As your LEDs come on but wont blink , i suggest you do as desribed in my post today. I am assuming that the LED system receives its on/off signal from the above described oem flasher modual , check and clean all connections to the modual.

OK I found where it went. It was a rectangle one that Harley wanted #0 for. Went to the local auto parts and got a round one instead for it. Works great except it doesn't stay on. You have to hold the button down for it to work. Turns off when you let the button go. I don't know if this is how it's supposed to work or not but at least I can ride again at night. Which is a very nice time to ride right now where I am at in South Florida.

I will probably rewired it later with a Badlands unit.

Thanks, Ron

Here are the pictures of where it went for anyone else who might run across the same problem. The connectors are linked together in the pictures. I just pull the link a part and added the flasher. If I left the link in it would work like flashers by press repeatedly on the turn signal button. I didn't take a picture of it with the new flasher on it. I was in a hurry to get a quick ride in with a beautiful sunset.
