Sorry this might be a double post but I bet I get better reponse here than in the fuel section.

I picked up a 1995 FXDL a week or so ago. I believe it is running lean. It has the stock filter and screaming eagle slip ons. I just got a cvp jet kit. I am going to put a KN filter in the stock housing...so My question is..in the instructions it say to use a 46 pilot and 185 main jet for stag one setup. Would this work for my setup?
Sorry..I'm brand new to harleys
IF it is the original factory unmodified carburetor and you are adding a hi-flow air cleaner and a set of pipes or slip ons, you can usually install a #48 low speed jet and not fool with anything else, it would be beneficial to remove the idle mixture plug and back out the screw like the previous poster recommended, but I would suggest starting with the low speed jet first and keep an eye on your spark plugs, they should be a light tan color after a couple hundred miles.
