I agree. I like Champion RN12YC. Cheap and proven to last. Ride it a while, then read them. Maybe the last owner ran with the choke on all the time. Maybe its jetted too rich. Without new plugs to test the theory, you'd just be guessing. And make sure to put anti-seize on the plugs when you install them back in the heads.
