Ester and the dyno
Today I pulled the CV carb off and pulled the bowl off. 45 and a 180 for jets, the main was really loose, so I tightened it up and everything was nice and clean. My mixture screw was all the way in, maybe thats why it was so picky, so it is now at 2 turns and seems to better.
I have an appointment tomorrow with my local indy for a quick check and a dyno, to see if we can get rid of that ping/knock under heavy load and see what kinda nubers she lays down. Will post results tomorrow.

The dyno was having computer issues and we couldnt get it running, but we did get Ester to run properly.
Turns out that the membrane on the slide had 3 tears on it, so that got replaced. We also found out that the carb had a Dynatech kit installed, lighter spring, Sporty needle set at up 2, and we ended up with a 46 low jet and a 190 main with the idle screw at 2 turns. We also retimed the twintech ignition and replaced some of the mounting screws in the cam case. Seat of the pants dyno......I'd say low to mid 60's in HP and around 76-79 #'s of torque. Kinda feels like a stock stage 1 twinkie to me. Either way the ping/knock is gone and the motor is quieter with a snappier throttle than before.......happy for now.
