f3fidy,Hold on!! First allow me to congratulate you on your ride, bike looks great..
You don't need to pull carb if bike is running well, could cause more damage. Just remove your air cleaner system and look around. If you notice the elbow is indeed cracked then you must remove carb.
Remember-not everything is as easy as it sounds. Good luck and hope everything turns out well for you.
