Im with grbrown as he is the man with the know .
As a newby i suggest that after all we are still dealing with a older desighed air cooled v twin engine . There have been hundreds of thousands of them built during the last 100 years , nough said .
As a newby from the Jap. stuff ... which is eons ahead of the Harleys , i can say Relax and let the Harley roll until you hear any expensive noises or oil puking out of the wrong places at the wrong time .
From what i can gather as a newby ... the Harley v twin is desighned for long term service and the fuel and fire systems are all anyone has to screw around with.
