Default Windshield for '87 FXR

I am thinking about getting a windshield, but really don't know where to begin. Does anyone have a recommendation? I will also need the required hardware.

If you have the stock 35mm narrow glide front end you should be able to pick from a variety of shields and mounts from Memphis Shades. I ran one of their Rio Grande sportshields on my FXR before I picked up a Harley detachable. Installation is a simple operation.

Go to www.memphisshades.com to view their selection, then shop the internet for the best price.

Long Ride Shields just came out with a universal windshield. Don't know what you need for mounts, but you might check them out.

Buy a new one. Shields are all made of some sort of plastic (varies between brands) and they mark over time. Buying secondhand is only worthwhile to get the hardware, so budget on getting a new blade if you go that route.

Google 'fxr windshield' and you get plenty of sites to search. National Cycle sell a wide variety of new ones.
