Default I'm stuck

Riding today, and the bike developed a tick that progressively got louder. Then she lost all power and started spitting oil out of the air cleaner and shut down. Any ideas? I did put an EV27 cam in and have gone about 50 miles.

Looking at the fluid closer it appears to be gas not oil. I cant smell **** at the moment. The ticking was more on the left side than the right. I think maybe my front spark plug went. We'll see when I get home, sitting in a parking lot now waiting for a friend and trailer.

That would be my first thought. But also possibly a problem with the oil pump or breather gear.

Plug thread could have crapped itself or head gasket has gone. If you using stock pushrods it is highly unlikely that they are the problem.

happened to me after I put a new cam in. Adjustable pushrod went down on the front cylander. ticking got louder, bike got weak, ran on one cylander, and that was that. Lock nuts really have to be snug. fixed with blue locktite around the base of the adjuster nut.

The oil part not sure why...

so if one cylander isn't working, and not burning fuel, that explains the gas part - just read the second post. Excess fuel back up with nowhere to go because one of the valves was not working - most likely the intake.

Check the spark plugs - the black one is the bad cylander. Then check the push rod on the intake, and thats probably it. Then check all of the push rods anyway. I redid all of mine to prevent that occuring again.

Yup, adjustable pushrod loosened. Reset three full turns past zero lash and she fired right up. I checked the others as well. Might go back in to put some loctite on em.
