Well some of my customers are HA members and one of them just sold his 2009 StreetBobFatGlide or whatever it was and bought a 1991 FXR....now that is a man who understands Harleys!!!
I just fitted a new drive belt to it and the bike is almost immaculate, has 56K kms on the clock and is so original and unmolested that it still has mid-controls and the nasty restricted original air cleaner assembly
Sigh.....I just wanted to have its babies.....been a long time since I worked on an FXR that didn't have multiple wiring issues and many dodgy aftermarket parts
Of course I had to give it an extended test ride........
Good job you didn't fall off on your extended ride wouldn't want a mob of HA beating on you, funny how popular FXRs are now as I recall not many people liked them when they first came out, there maybe hope for the Rocker after all .
My wife bought mine for me at the dealer back in 94, the last one they ever got. I had my 96 Road King on order at the time. When the King finally came in the FXR was so nice I've kept both. Never had any major problems with either one.

LOL. Ain't that the truth! There's an FLD sitting at the dealer here that looks like a Dyna had sex with a Road King. It's been nicknamed a Road Queen down here.
