road king to ultra classic?
Ive been looking for a new seat for my 1990 ultra my buddy has a stock seat off his 01 roadking that would be a big improvement over what i have now. He said I can have it and at that price you just cant beat it. Was wondering does anyone know if there would be any fab work needed to switch the seats or if it would even work? Any help would be great!

One of my buddies has a few seats for his 90 ultra, one a new street glide seat, and one he had to add a tongue to the front and the other he had to put on an older pan but I can't remember which one. Either way it can be done with a little work.

My 96 EG Classic had a road king seat on it when I purchased. Very, very conmfortable. I think a "filler" piece was added below the "console" that runs down the center of the tank to fill in the gap left from the stock seat. I didn't ride the bike to work today so Ic an't take a pic to send, I will try to remember when I get home.

Assuming its the same mount as my 95 flhtc, slice the tab on the bottom of the rk seat at the first bend from the tank end and attach a piece of garden hose to tighten up how it fits in slot, superglue it or whatever. it will slide right into the slot on your tank. Then stop by the dealer and get the leather tank console extension panel made just for that purpose was cheap maybe 30 bucks? If your current seat attaches to frame ion the front rather than the tab on the tank thats a diff mod but still doable
