So i pulled up behind a guy on a bike today .
Across the back of his helmet a sticker says " f*** off"
Now I don't expect one that says " Jesus is my copilot"
But really ? Cmon

i'm with you 'vincent'.... people really don't know what it's like unless they have young children...although, some parents could care less, which is a different disturbing ball of wax in itself
there's a lady in my neighborhood that has a sticker plastered across the rear window of her pick-up that says "Bitch on board" ....i sigh every time i find myself behind her
people with profanity and vulgarity emblazoned across their helmets, cars, etc are self-righteous idiots that only contribute to the decadence of a culture already crumbling
sad, really

I'm with the OP on this one, kinda'.
I mean I'm absolutely opposed to anybody or any govt that tries to make rules about what you can or can't have written on your stuff - but some stuff is just trashy. Its their right in my opinion, for sure - but really lousy judgement on their part too.
Honestly, my language can be really REALLY bad sometimes - but I'm capable of choosing my audience AND my words, and I don't put them on display for anyone to see whether they like it or not.
Something to be said for good citizenship as far as I'm concerned - and good citizenship begins with giving a chit about your fellow citizens.

^^^ what he said, too ^^^
thing is, my father was a biker.... started riding in germany before vietnam an continued up until he died in 2010....he rolled with a bunch of old curmudgeons you couldn't help but respect....but, they NEVER talked vulgar or used profanity in the general public or displayed it on their helmets
they understood that freedom deserved respect, and they exercised common civility

I have a black helmet, for when I ride my bright yellow Buell. It says 'Buttercup' across the back, in bright yellow!
I agree, I see patches that say I got all the friends I need so F*** Off and so fourth. I've learned to just stay clear of those people because quite frankly they have mental problems and I have no desire to get to know anyone with that attitude. Ride on folks
