You meet the nicest people on a ......Honda. That was their pitch yrs ago. I usually try to keep patches, stickers, language pretty tame..
I miss the days 20 yrs ago when you went to Sturgis or Bike Week and it was anything go's... Freedom isn't free... I got a park behind where I live, most of the 14 year olds cuss more and louder than the most bikers I know. I guess it's just perspective. I've got long hair and tattoo's, some people think I'm offensive just because of that. But if your broke down on your scoot or your pulled over in your cage with the hood up, I'll stop and ask if you need help.

they understood that freedom deserved respect, and they exercised common civility
^ +1 Are you my brother? My father was the same way.

Judging a person by a sticker is no different then judging by their looks.
What I have on my vest or helmet is my gig, nobody else. Like having ink.. its my body, not yours. Don't judge me.

Had that on my 4runner that i recently sold. I thought it was pretty funny, especially done up in mil spec reflective - laser cut. Black in the day and glowed at night.

Sometimes i would look at it and feel like a jerk, but i figured that kids wouldnt be able to read between the lines.

That make me a bad man?
Seeing 99% of the world doesn't know what FOD is, and even if you told them Foriegn Object Damage they likely still wouldn't

Yeah, I mean most of us a the rebellious type right? that's why we're not riding BMW's or rice. I squabble with my GF all the time when she points out something she doesn't approve of/ makes fun of someone. It's PUBLIC, if it ain't hurting you and you don't like it look the other way or stay home.

Wow, I remember when bikers were fat, greasy, anti social a$$holes that didn't give a crap what others thought about them, or the way they lived. Now we seem more than willing to piggyback off the image they created, yet cast stones at the way they act. Baffling really.

In short, Hell Yes. It's not about being controlled, or conforming, it's about common courtesy. I would guess that most people who display vulgar things on their cars, vests, helmets, etc either don't have young children or aren't the type of parent I would want to be around. I have a horrible mouth, but know when and where it is appropriate.
