I always think of people with those stupid stickers as posers. A real "hardcore biker" would never wear that crap.

It annoys me when I'm taking the kids somewhere and suddenly my 6 year old is sounding out the words on a profanity laced bumper sticker or helmet sticker, but I'm not gonna throw a fit over it. I just tell the kids that's how you can tell the difference between civil people and folks that have no regard for others. Can't shield them from the world forever, hell, even Nick Jr has Viagra commercials now.

When I got my bike I got a few stickers at the local HD dealer. Decided it was too trashy to display anywhere but the tool box. My helmet and bike are sticker free.

"Over worked and Under Laid", was my favorite.
"Chrome won't get you home but it will get you laid", also tool box worthy.

Why? While some of em could be tasteless, true, but some show a good sense of humor of the beholder (and a sense of humor test for the readers). For instance, what's wrong with "I'm the sh|t that happens"? Esp. if it's so true!
It's the matter of personal preference and taste I guess.

I can't believe we are starting a holywar here over stickers!

sorry, but reading vulgar and profanity aren't the standard i'd use in testing to see whether my 11 year old daughter -or anyone else's child- has a sense of humor

what i do use it for, is to test her ability to judge the character of someone who simply doesn't care about how offensive they are to other people in the face of humility

but that's just me

Well, but we can't tell other ppl what to do and what not to. It's a democracy - right? Don't like it - outlaw it (subject of the govt already having it's tentacles everywhere aside)!
Then what we are left with, is to have opinions (that as we know are like a$$holes - everyone got one), and to judge those ppl. But how about Judge Not Lest You Be Judged?

...say hello to the proverbial democracy/religious post in order to defend one's point

Fine. Scratch the democracy.
Then seriously, what's the proposal (and the point)? Tell the guy to remove the sticker? He'll probably repeat what's on the sticker. Beat him up? What if he's bigger and stronger?
And what if some "proper" housewife would tell you tomorrow that riding your mean bike with loud pipes scares the hell outta her innocent kids and is unacceptable in our society?

... would never tell the guy to remove the sticker or the lady to remove her 'bitch' sticker from her truck precisely because of what i said earlier about such things being done in the face of humility

they're designed to intimidate people, and someone who wants to intimidate someone doesn't take kindly to courteous suggestions about common decency

and i don't have loud pipes

For you military aviation mechanic types

"Fod Under Control Keeps Our Flyers Fighting"

Had that on my 4runner that i recently sold. I thought it was pretty funny, especially done up in mil spec reflective - laser cut. Black in the day and glowed at night.

Sometimes i would look at it and feel like a jerk, but i figured that kids wouldnt be able to read between the lines.

That make me a bad man?
