I just bought 4 new ones from my UK Harley dealer! They are not common over here, so I didn't have much choice. Perhaps they had them lying around.....
Two pole resetting breakers are very common and can be accessed at any auto. electrical shop for much less than half of what the dealer will charge you . Just be sure to provide what amp. capability you require . Usual rating is 30 amp. resetting type.
Add on ... bring the old breakers with you when purchasing just to be sure.
You can also add a bit of insurance by fusing before the breakers . Most Harley stator failures are apperantly caused by shorted wiring at the grommets . Properly sized weatherproof inline fuses between the stator and regulator should save a shorted stator wiring grommet.
See forums re: this .

Interesting. Can you expound on this? Like fuse size, wire size, exact location, etc. And do you have this done on your bike?
Havent done this yet but check for earlier post in the last month re; this.
Poster dosent give a lot of tech. info. but the idea seems solid to me .
Any safety type of weatherproof short blow fusing , fusible link or breakers etc. installed before the regulator should prevent the dreaded stator fryup which is caused " in my own opinion " by shorting at the wire outlet grommet .
Makes sense to me !
Add on ... Im new to Harleys and it looks to me like a weatherproof box is needed to house the extra stuff or run wires to a better weatherproof location .?
Again ... still believe stators are ok for many years if not shorted out with a bad grommet etc.
