Disagree all you want, but that's a first. And probably a different condition altogether.

The key IMO seems to be the speed, I've noticed 80mph is the magic number. I havent done my trakula kit yet, but I have noticed that Ester is a bit unstable at 80 and above.

Ester, you need to twist that man's arm and get him to fit Trackula soon! You'll both be fine. 100 is no problem.....

Guys, this makes it truly sound like maybe a rigid mounted motor (softail) might be less affected?
Like Cowboy Mountain, my Fats doesn't dig life much above 80. lol.

No! Back in 2005 one of the top UK bike mags voted the Buell Firebolt the best handling bike of the year - against Ducatis and all the Jap racers. The Harley rubber-mount system works, not least because Erik Buell invented it. The only thing wrong with our Touring bikes is that Harley cut corners. Fortunately True-Track provides us with the antidote.

my softail used to do it. changed multiple things to make it go away. low profile tires, belt tensioners were vibrating loose, and put cut washers int he axle to lock it in place.

what i narrowed it down to was 2 things- rolling on to an angle to put stress on the rear axles with the adjusters vibrated just 1 thread out it gave room for the axle to shimmy.

im sure there multiple reasons it can happen but that was my case.

........from this?

I just don't think you're experiencing the condition known as "death wobble." I mean ALL OVER the place you can read case after case of the condition happening during right high speed sweepers. If you're experiencing a wobble while going straight, I somehow doubt it'd be dubbed as a "death wobble." However, I can see a cross wind causing a wobble, but just not that big a deal.

And just to set you straight, I have zero answers as I've NEVER experienced this condition before. I'm sure you can have a wobble on a straight. I get them from time to time on heavily textured pavement. But definitely not a possible death situation. In fact, if you'll do the tiniest bit of digging, you see that many have lost their lives or gotten seriously messed up while experiencing the "death wobble" on high speed right sweepers. Because it's very hard or almost impossible to recover from it. Can you say that about your wobble?

Glide Pro Stabilizing Kit.
Let me start by saying that Jake is a real cool dude. I got on the phone with him on a Monday to discuss his product. He was very help full and knowledgeable. I scheduled to have him do the install on Saturday. It would include swing arm mounts, front motor mount, wheel alignment, and triple tree adjustment. Parts 400 Labor 250. So I took off from L.A. to El Cajon at 6am and got there at 7:50am.I set the cruise control and was only doing 73mph cuzz anything faster my bike would wobble. He began to work on my bike at 8am. 2005 Road King Classic. I hung out with him for an hour then he offered me his truck to go get myself some breakfast. Told him I didn't know how to drive stick lol..so i took his street glide. I got back and he offered me his toy hauler for me to go take a nap. What a nice guy. He finished the entire job at 4:30. He then took it for a spin and said Oh Yea!! it's done. I geared up, got on the road and would deliberately shake the handle bars to and went over lane bumps at high speeds to see if the wobble was gone. Guess what, it's gone no more Wobble, Hell Yea finally it's gone. I put my bike on cruise control at 75mph cuzz there was traffic going home. I swear, I steered the bike with one hand all the way. I couldn't believe how good it handled it felt like a new bike. Jake is an airplane mechanic and that's where his ingenuity led him to design an efficient swing arm bushing and of course many hours of R&D research and development. Jake has perfected his product and it works. Some people might hesitate to purchase his product because of his price tag 400 bucks as i was hesitant as well, but if you think about a lot of us are not hesitant to go into a Harley dealer and drop 100 bucks on a freaking piece of chrome to put on our bikes and we've done that countless times. But yet we think twice about spending 400 bucks even though it could save our lives or keep us from getting injured from loosing control on our Harleys. I did my homework for 6 months before going with Glide Pro. I have a background in in Electrical Engineering and have also studied Mechanical Engineering. His product makes sense because he tackled the problem at the source. Other stabilizers out there just Band Aid the problem but Jake's kit fixes it. The reason his makes the most sense is because the stabilizers out there attach to the oil pan and his doesn't, meaning the oil pan was not meant to take on any stress, it was not designed for that. It was just designed to keep the oil in, that's it. So eventually two things will happen, you will eventually crack the oil pan, or wear out the thread on the the oil pan because of the stress you will be putting on it when it tries to correct the wobble. I highly recommend his product. I took my bike out today on Ortega Hwy. and I was bending corners like i was on a speed bike. My confidence is now up on twisty road because of the better handling I'm getting from my Road King. My bike is now ready for Sturgis as I am going this year 2012 in August, so I had to get it ready for my long trip. Jake once again Thank You for a great product and fix to our Harley Wobble.
