Default Death Wobble Fixed with Glide-Pro Stabilizing System

Glide Pro Stabilizing Kit.
Let me start by saying that Jake is a real cool dude. I got on the phone with him on a Monday to discuss his product. He was very help full and knowledgeable. I scheduled to have him do the install on Saturday. It would include swing arm mounts, front motor mount, wheel alignment, and triple tree adjustment. Parts 400 Labor 250. So I took off from L.A. to El Cajon at 6am and got there at 7:50am.I set the cruise control and was only doing 73mph cuzz anything faster my bike would wobble. He began to work on my bike at 8am. 2005 Road King Classic. I hung out with him for an hour then he offered me his truck to go get myself some breakfast. Told him I didn't know how to drive stick lol..so i took his street glide. I got back and he offered me his toy hauler for me to go take a nap. What a nice guy. He finished the entire job at 4:30. He then took it for a spin and said Oh Yea!! it's done. I geared up, got on the road and would deliberately shake the handle bars to and went over lane bumps at high speeds to see if the wobble was gone. Guess what, it's gone no more Wobble, Hell Yea finally it's gone. I put my bike on cruise control at 75mph cuzz there was traffic going home. I swear, I steered the bike with one hand all the way. I couldn't believe how good it handled it felt like a new bike. Jake is an airplane mechanic and that's where his ingenuity led him to design an efficient swing arm bushing and of course many hours of R&D research and development. Jake has perfected his product and it works. Some people might hesitate to purchase his product because of his price tag 400 bucks as i was hesitant as well, but if you think about a lot of us are not hesitant to go into a Harley dealer and drop 100 bucks on a freaking piece of chrome to put on our bikes and we've done that countless times. But yet we think twice about spending 400 bucks even though it could save our lives or keep us from getting injured from loosing control on our Harleys. I did my homework for 6 months before going with Glide Pro. I have a background in in Electrical Engineering and have also studied Mechanical Engineering. His product makes sense because he tackled the problem at the source. Other stabilizers out there just Band Aid the problem but Jake's kit fixes it. The reason his makes the most sense is because the stabilizers out there attach to the oil pan and his doesn't, meaning the oil pan was not meant to take on any stress, it was not designed for that. It was just designed to keep the oil in, that's it. So eventually two things will happen, you will eventually crack the oil pan, or wear out the thread on the the oil pan because of the stress you will be putting on it when it tries to correct the wobble. I highly recommend his product. I took my bike out today on Ortega Hwy. and I was bending corners like i was on a speed bike. My confidence is now up on twisty road because of the better handling I'm getting from my Road King. My bike is now ready for Sturgis as I am going this year 2012 in August, so I had to get it ready for my long trip. Jake once again Thank You for a great product and fix to our Harley Wobble.

I think a lot of us are mistaking the Death Wobble from the video in the first post to the High Speed Wobble.
The video posted shows the rear of the bike wobbling first while in a curve and starts with pressure because of torque on the frame.

The high speed wobble starts in the front wheel when turbulence causes the front wheel to wobble first and usually while riding in a straight line and after hitting something in the road.Scary as hell to be sure but a different wobble than the one in the video......I think.
I've had the high speed wobble on most every bike I've owned.

Eddie, that's a lot of marketting puff about a product that may well do a good job, but it does you no credit to repeat it as fact. I am a mechanical engineer and will observe that there are many stabilizer kits out there, all claiming to cure the problem. Glide Pro does it one way, but there are other better engineering solutions out there.

Cool

Hey grbrown, they only reason i posted it twice, is because I wasn't sure if I had posted it the first time. It's not marketing puff, I'm just trying to help people that have the wobble. 2nd if you were a mechanical engineer like you claim to be you would know that the glide pro makes the most sense. Maybe you need to go back to college and touch up your engineering skills, and get a degree in this era not back in 1970 lmao.... One more thing just because Buell designed one good bike doesn't he couldn't of gotten it wrong on another. True track was the best thing out there at one point, but Glide Pro takes the prize now as the best stabilizer out there and is the new Antidote for the wobble as you stated gbrow.

Eddie, the principles of kinematics haven't changed since I first studied them! Erik Buell and True-Track understand them.

Amen grbrown!
Eddie2828 yea it's good to have choices and no doubt Jake is a cool dude, but it doesn't take an engineer to figure out that Jake's product takes the rubber mounted swingarm system and turns it into a rigid mount, that is how this product works - I've seen first hand how Jakes product turns to an elastic mess - ck out the pic My buddies bike and several others that all rode together last year to Sturgis had this happen to their glide pro product and if it wasn't for the folks at True-Track they would of never been able to ride back - so forgive me if I'm a skeptic at what you are raving about here at the forum. Is this what you want to have happen after spending $400 bucks?
