Did they use any of the old components in your build when you got your heads back? I kinda don't mind spending the money if I get basicly a new set of heads back.

Only the Guides, I expect all new valves and seats. I have NOT received my parts back yet. I sent them up last week and Kirby said he as waiting on pistons from his vendor. I hope to be rebuilding Thursday and Friday.
FYI the SERDI valve job is 139.00 with out the bigger vales and port job.
Call Kirby man... he appears to be honest and wont be pushy. also call BigBoyz and Hillside while you calling around.

Just as an aside, I went with Wiseco 10.1 pistons. Incredible pistons in quality. And they were perfectly balanced. NOW, I will say though, that I run premium, and that if you are somewhere without premium, or running ethynol, you had best put in an octane booster. The plus is that the bike-i have a 95 fxstc also-absolutely hauls some major *** in combo with that ev-27 cam.

Good Point, I think the OP is looking for more of a rebuild and not a high compression engine. He should understand that if he does increase compression he will need to keep an eye on what octane he puts in there.
I believe 9:1 Kieth Blacks are going in mine so I will continue to run 87 ethanol free with octane boost.

I use premium as well, but all our stations are e85 eth gas. Think I'm going to stick with the 9.5 or 9.75 Pistons.
