Default 1989 Heritage?

Can someone tell me if there's anything special about the 1989 Heritages? I found one and the owner thinks highly of it being a 89 model. I've heard they're sought after, but don't know why.

Every Harley is "sought after", custom and one of a kind. Haven't you heard?

If the bike is in perfect condition then 8k isn't out of the park. It is kinda high but not out of the park.

As for it being an '89 and there for special for that reason I have no idea what he is talking about.

It's not in THAT great of shape. Not bad but not perfect. I'm passing on it. The 89 model spin was what I figured. A bunch of BS.

That model was introduced in 1988. Perhaps his is a rare colour scheme only produced that year? Just guessing!

Every bike I've ever sold was rare, special, limited edition, hard to come by, highly customised, one of a kind, or may have been owned by somebody famous. Sooo,,, that's why the price is what it is. Any questions?.,,,

Nope. I get the whole "every bike is rare" thing. Just wondering about the 89s. Not a big deal.
