Ok, I pulled the bowl, took the jets an accellerator pump apart, cleaned everything with carb cleaner an air compressor. Overflow problem stopped.
Still starts an runs smooth but stumbles in high rpm. I reved it with the a/c off to watch an the outter jet sprayed some but not continuously when cranking the throttle. When the motor is off an I twist the throttle It sprays a nice spray unlike when running.
Another thing....I tried twisting the throttle with the enricher pulled an it reved freely. Does this indicate anything? I haven't pulled the top to inspect the diaphram.
If you have an engine that has good compression and starts well, but just has no power and revs up ever so slowly, check that rubber diaphragm. It may have a hole or tear.
The throttle slide will not rise if it is damaged.
The "outer jet" as you called it is the accelerator pump. Check for an air leak, look at the VOES/petcock vacuum hose, carb diaphragm, manifold and carb compliance fittings.
